Registered Psychotherapist MACP, MA, BA (Hons)

My approach and how I came to this work…

Long before I became a therapist, I often found myself in helping roles both at work and in my personal life. Before starting my practice, I worked in various community organizations dedicated to supporting those experiencing poverty, domestic violence, sexual violence and mental health crises. I have seen how trauma can impact many aspects of a person’s life, but I have also witnessed strength and healing after trauma. I truly believe finding the right support and being ready to do the deeper work needed to gain insight into ourselves, can have a lasting impact on our lives.

My main priority is providing a warm and compassionate approach that fosters trust. I am passionate about helping individuals learn to be kinder to themselves, work through heavy emotions like shame and guilt, and helping people along their healing journey after traumatic experiences. I see people as the experts of their life and enjoy creating a space where individuals can explore the various stories that have had an impact on them. My approach is trauma-informed, non-pathologizing and anti-oppressive, with an emphasis on personal and collective wellbeing.
