Your story is important

Welcome!

We all face challenges in life and sometimes we need some support along the way. I became a psychotherapist to help people explore all the stories that have impacted their life so they can make connections between the past and the present, shift shame and guilt into self-compassion and live a life that's more aligned with their values. Every person’s healing will look different, but healing starts to happen when we feel heard and understood.

While I support clients in a variety of areas, I specialize in trauma and perinatal mental health (fertility, pregnancy, loss, postpartum, and parenting). In my work, I often support clients with the transition to parenthood and those who are needing to process a difficult pregnancy or birth. I also have a special interest in supporting clients who are healing their own relational trauma stemming from their childhoods, those who have experienced sexual violence and those who want to explore patterns in their relationships.

My approach is warm, compassionate and centered around building trust. I aim to provide you with a supportive space to share your story, feelings and reflections. We all have different needs and lived experiences, so we will work together to figure out what will work best for you. I value collaboration and will always be respectful and affirming of your journey.

I would consider it a privilege to be a part of your healing journey.

Connection

You deserve to heal, grow and feel connected. Your experiences do not define you or your worth. There is a way forward - one where you know yourself and your values, feel a sense of peace and treat yourself with compassion.

Inclusive and Decolonial Commitments

Imprint Psychotherapy is affirming and informed of 2SLGBTQ+ identities. All racial and cultural identities will be respected and supported.

I practice from an anti-oppressive, anti-racist and intersectional feminist framework. This approach involves an ongoing practice of self-reflection and awareness, valuing cultural differences and being committed to learning about the lived experiences of those who have been systemically discriminated against.

As a virtual practice supporting clients across Ontario, I recognize that myself and most of the clients I support, are settlers on stolen land. I acknowledge the harm and oppression that has occurred and continues to occur, due to colonialism and systemic violence. I am committed to learning about ways to practice decolonization within my practice and my community.
